Collaborating with his lifelong friend, award-winning author, Daniel Rachel, One For The Road is presented as an extended conversation featuring 69 personally hand-selected songs by Simon, including never seen before original handwritten lyrics, 13 unreleased songs, and over 350 hand chosen photographs and rarely seen items of memorabilia. With introductions by both Oscar Harrison and Steve Cradock, of Ocean Colour Scene, this new stunning book offers a unique and illuminating visual record of one of the great songwriters.
The ‘Its A Beautiful Thing’ Package comes with a 288 full colour page signed book printed on high quality stock with a sewn hardback cover and wraparound dust jacket. A strictly limited edition seven inch single hand stamped, numbered and pressed for One For The Road featuring two never heard before tracks – ‘The American Way Of Life’ and ‘I’ – recorded in 1986. A facsimile of the lyrics ‘One For The Road’ handwritten by Simon over two sheets of white A4 paper. Two previously unreleased photographic colour prints of Simon and Ocean Colour Scene, an exclusive black tote bag and a personalised lyric sheet of an Ocean Colour Scene song – of your choice – handwritten by Simon.
